Teach the Controversy
Mike Gonzales found some interesting shirts. I think I’ve seen some of them before, but I have yet to post about them here, so here we go. My favorite shirt of the bunch:
It’s funny because that’s the only way creationists can counter all of the evidence for evolution: that we need to “teach all sides” to the argument. However, that only pertains to issues where science contradicts religious dogma. In all other areas, those same creationists are against anything that contradicts their beliefs. Do you think any of them would be for a class in studying Biblical inaccuracies? Of course not. They’re just a bunch of hypocrites who will do and say anything to push their religious ideology on everyone else.
I know religion holds no monopoly on either stupidity or hypocrisy, but sometimes it sure seems to struggle to hold onto a lot of both.

As others have pointed out many times, how come it’s only biology that this is being touted towards? How come we’re not teaching the controversy about a flat Earth, or the fact that there’s a big bowl in the sky on which the star sits on the underside, or the moon producing it’s own light. Actually scratch that last one. But still, if Evolution and Creationism should be taught together, how come we do have Chemistry and Alchemy, Astronomy and Astrology, Psychology and Exorcism Studies. There’s no controversy to teach, it’s just blatant shoe-horning of religious faith into classrooms.
